If you are craving authentic Vietnamese cuisine in the heart of Crows Nest, Phuong Restaurant is an absolute must-visit. Nestled at 87 Willoughby Rd, Phuong offers a vibrant and genuine taste of Vietnam that will instantly transport your palate to the streets of Hanoi or Saigon.
The dining experience here is centered on traditional flavors served with warm hospitality. Start your meal with their signature prawn crackers—a light and crispy snack that sets the tone for what’s to come. The spring rolls (cha gio) are impeccably crunchy, packed with hearty pork and fresh vegetables, and perfectly complemented by the subtle tang of fish sauce. For a fresher, lighter bite, the summer rolls (goi cuon) burst with juicy prawns, tender pork slices, vermicelli, and fragrant mint wrapped in delicate rice paper that melts in your mouth.
Phuong Restaurant also caters beautifully to vegetarians with options like the vegetarian hotpot, a warming medley of fresh greens and silky bean curd simmered in a fragrant homemade sauce. The steamed gai lan drizzled with garlic oyster sauce and the green vegetable curry featuring snow peas and mixed veg provide standout clean flavors that highlight the natural freshness of each ingredient.
Rice dishes are similarly authentic and satisfying. The house fried rice, studded with pork, prawns, peas, and egg, delivers comfort in every bite with its fluffy, savory grains. Meanwhile, the tomato fried rice offers a subtly sweet and tangy twist, balancing garlic and egg with bright tomato notes.
Beyond the enticing food, Phuong’s atmosphere is inviting and warm. Soft lighting and a relaxed vibe create an intimate setting that makes you want to linger over every course. The staff’s enthusiasm and genuine friendliness do not go unnoticed—guests frequently commend the attentive yet unobtrusive service that enhances the overall experience.
Customers consistently rave about the combination of quality, authenticity, and value. Whether it’s Chloe feeling welcomed by the cheerful team, Van Cuong Huynh savoring the perfectly cooked calamari and fried chicken, or Duon Thai’s family finding dishes that delight every palate, Phuong Restaurant truly delivers on its promise of exceptional Vietnamese dining.
In summary, Phuong Restaurant is a gem where traditional Vietnamese flavors come alive in generous portions, paired with heartfelt service. It’s an ideal spot for both casual meals and special gatherings. If you’re after a memorable culinary journey through Vietnam right in Sydney, this place will not disappoint—you'll find yourself coming back again and again.

While traveling, I happened to pass by Crows Nest and discovered this restaurant. The spring rolls and fresh rolls are authentically Vietnamese that they taste just like back home. Even the beef coconut curry and the lemongrass pork are about 90% similar to what I usually eat with my family in Vietnam. The staff were very friendly and polite. Overall, the experience made my trip to Sydney even more enjoyable because I didn’t expect to find such a Vietnamese restaurant with flavors so close to home in a completely unfamiliar place

Fresh and delicious food. Great customer service. Some of the nicest people who really take pride in good service and good food. Much cheaper than most other restaurants especially in that area. But not only is it cheaper the quality of the food is exceptional. One hundred percent I will definitely be going back again and again.

My group of 10 friends and I stopped by on Saturday night with an online booking. This was my first time coming, recommended by a friend, and luckily, we had an amazing experience. The restaurant quickly got busy after we sat down, and our group ordered almost 10 of their famous dishes. The food was served in a reasonable order, but the entrees came out quickly all at once, which left us a bit overwhelmed at first. All the dishes were flavorful and suited our tastes, especially when paired with wine. The service was incredibly cheerful, friendly, and relaxed. The prices were the most reasonable I’ve experienced in Crows Nest. They also have BYO, even for beer. Overall, we had a really enjoyable evening at Phuong and will definitely return.

The food was excellent. I went with my family of six and we ordered eight dishes: calamari, summer rolls, crispy quail, sizzling beef, lemongrass pork, honey king prawns, crispy noodles, and house fried rice. Surprisingly, all eight dishes were delicious and suited everyone’s taste. The portion sizes were just right like not too big and not too small, and also the prices were very reasonable, with each person spending under $50 in a spacious and comfortable setting right in the heart of Crows Nest. The staff were friendly and attentive, even though they seemed a bit understaffed. We’ll definitely come back next time.
